Liverpool News: Rangers Loanee Opens To Join Steven Gerrard

Liverpool starlet Ryan Kent has admitted that he would “consider” to come with Rangers on a permanent deal. The 21-year-old joined Gers on loan for the season during the summer when Reds legend Steven Gerrard took over the toes at Ibrox and the former midfielder did not waste time to redeem his Anfield connections, taking Kent and Ovie Ejaria on lending, as well as picking up Jon Flanagan for a free transfer.

The young wing Kent has impressed so far in his first step in SPFL, making 17 appearances and scored twice so far. He is set to see only his second full season at a club that has knocked 47 times out of Barnsley back in 2016-17 and former Coventry and Bristol City employees have revealed that he would be willing to join Gerrard’s side and that to permanently.

“That is something I will consider,” he revealed. “The fans are good here. Rangers is a great club, but it is a conversation they must have with Liverpool, not me.” Kent scored in the resounding of Rangers with the score 3-1 win over Hearts on Sunday and the current U20 international team of England form joined Gerrard.

“His performance has been very good and they have become stronger as we have been on,” said Gerrard after the match. “The last two have just been up there in the top drawer. He deserved the match today, he deserved his goal and I am happy with him. We must credit Rangers to give Ryan the opportunity and also thank Liverpool for letting us use him, for at the moment we are working for both of us.”

Fellow Loanee Ejaria was also in action in the win and marked his 18th appearance for the Glasgow club already this season.
