Thats cause hockey is played on skates and in one fifth the playing area therefore it is much faster but also a lot less technical to score goals. and a puck is less than half a pound whereas in football you have 180 pound players sliding into your bare leg with metal studs. I much prefer football… and Im Canadian

In hockey (not to mention the basketball) goals are so common ocasions, so it became nothing more special than an ordinary pass. However, in football each goal is unusual and really important, each goal brings strong emotions.
It’s one of the reasons that football excites so many fans.
