RANGERS INTERESTED IN LIVERPOOL LOANEE

Rangers are set to complete the permanent transfer of Liverpool youngster SheyiOjo according to reports from England. It is understood that Rangers have been impressed with the performance of the player and they want to secure the player’s signature.

The Gers have been in good form this season and Ojo has been a big part of this with his contribution in the attack. The Ibroxoutfit has begun discussions with Liverpool regarding the transfer and there have been initial progress.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has previously revealed his delight in the player and praised his workrate earlier in the season. Ojo has become a fan favourite in the past few weeks and is looking to continue at the club permanently.

This is a stark contast to last season where he failed to impress at Ligue 1 side Reims before switching to Rangers in January. He has been able to rediscover his form using his skills and pace to good effect.

Since arriving, he has scored five goals and assisted four in 17 appearances which is a decent record. Rangers are expected to spend a good sum of money to land the 22 year old from Anfield.

Ojo has a long term deal with Liverpool which he signed some seasons ago. The 22-year-old has been with the club since 2015 but has failed to break into the first team. He spent time on loan at Wigan, Wolves, Fulham, Reims and Rangers.  The forward has made just 10 games since his signing for the club.

Liverpool loss will be Rangers gain as Ojo has the potential to become a top-class player in the coming years.

Rangers will be hoping to conclude the transfer soon and announce it ahead of the January transfer window. Meanwhile, the club will be hoping that Ojo can play a key role in winning the League title this season.
