Hamstring Injury Makes Way For Jordan Henderson

Albeit Liverpool is simply unthinkable without their captain Steven Gerrard for 15 long years yet the recent turn of events have convinced the club loyalists to root for Jordan Henderson in Gerrard’s place.

Gerrard’s contract with Liverpool as the captain is still due to expire in 2015.

It was the captain’s severe hamstring injury that forced him out the usual leading stature for Liverpool with Henderson taking up the throne for the time being. While asked about the present condition of the 34-year old Liverpool heartbeat, the club manager Brendan Rogers informed of an effective recovery routine. “Steven is getting along pretty well. He’s outside working & running”, remarked Rogers.

In Gerrard’s absence, it was Henderson who took up the baton of being destroyer-in-chief for Liverpool in the recent 5-0 victory for the club against Tottenham.

Jordan’s story initiated on Wearside & since age nine he’s under the nurture of Sunderland. His incredible stamina could have its roots in the professional fitness training the star player received from his fitness teacher mom. The very stamina factor would be a strong aide for Henderson as he would soon fly to play in Brazil, amidst rarefied humid air.

Kevin Ball, Jordan’s development coach at Sunderland was all ion praise for him. “He’s a very very well reared kid who is ever willing to try and learn new things . He would never stop. If he was being told to work out on something by the coaches, he would always obey us. In fact, at times we had to tell him to get slower on his efforts as he was too hard to get the perfection. He would never ever stop working at the game”, noted Ball.

“Alongside his unbelievable talent, he comes up as a person with great attitude & level-headed personality”, continued the impressed coach.
