Brendan Rodgers confident on his Side

The man in charge of the Liverpool senior team, Brendan Rodgers, reckons that his side can still achieve a lot in the ongoing season.

The Reds have already been knocked out of the Capital One Cup and they are nowhere in the race for the Premier League title either.

But, FA Cup and Europa League are the two competitions that they are still into and apart from that, they can push for the top 4 finish in the top flight too if they secure regular wins from here on in.

They are at 7 in the League table right now.

Rodgers did not buy any player during the recent mid season transfer window which was somewhat surprising.

It was thought he would try for a couple of players, but, that wasn’t the case to be.

Perhaps, he had spent so much in the summer that he was not provided the funds to go for any more buys.

More than 100 million Pounds were spent by Rodgers before the start of the season as he was looking to reshape his squad following the loss of some key players.

But, the choices that he made, they were perhaps not the best. He could have got slightly better players than what he got with that much money.

Bringing in somebody like Mario Balotelli was always a gamble considering his past troubles in England.

However, Rodgers has the belief that there is enough depth in the Reds squad and if they play well, they can end the season with a lot of success.

In an interview recently, the Irishman said, “We have not played as well as we can, but, I believe in the coming months, there would be some good performances from the boys. There are still trophies to be won.”
